I make the mistake over and over again of reading too many books at once.

Right now - I'm reading two.  Animal, Miracle, Vegetable by Barbara Kingsolver and A Month of Summer by Lisa Wingate.  Lisa lives in the Hill Country of Texas just a few miles from my hometown.  Check out her site www.lisawingate.com

I also love, love, love magazines.  Not all, but some. My faves are: Birds and Blooms, Romantic Homes, Victoria, and all of the Somerset Studio crafting magazines.

The Sand Creek Library is now open!

It finally happened!  The Sand Creek Library has been renovated and is now open.  It truly looks amazing.  Thanks to everyone who put in extra hours and dropped by in the last minute to help setup PCs, put books and media on shelves and clean up!  It was an amazing feat to have the library open on time.  Staff pulled together and did a fantastic job!  Again, many, many thanks.  I am so proud of this library.

For those of you who haven't had the chance to drop by let me give you a tour.

Look at the new self-check stations!  They are 3M machines and have been working out great.

What a beautiful and cozy place to read a book.

Need to write a resume, create a presentation or just check our email? Use one of the 26 PCs in the computer lab.

The teens also have four PCs in their hip area of the library.
